We're third-year University of Edinburgh students who got tired of watching uni life get more expensive every term — friends quitting the sports they loved over kit costs, £50 textbooks used for ten weeks, perfectly good stuff binned every summer. unify is the platform we wish we'd had in first year. Here's who's building it, and the problem it solved for each of us.
First year, I watched teammates walk away from the sports they loved because the kit cost more than a month's rent. unify is me making sure no student has to choose between belonging and their budget.
Every June I'd haul a car-load of stuff home or bin it, then rebuy it all in September. There was never a simple way to pass it to the next year's students. unify turns that waste into someone else's win.
